The Ministry of Agriculture of the Region held the first meeting of the relevant Public Council this year. The Public Council implements its activities to ensure that the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of the Russian Federation, public associations, human rights, religious and other organizations are taken into account in the implementation of the activities of the Ministry of Agriculture and Trade of the Krasnoyarsk Region, as well as public control over the activities of the Ministry.

The priority areas of the Public Council in 2022 are support for farming, agricultural cooperation, owners of private farmsteads, participation in the selection of investment projects in the agro-industrial complex, regional competitions, meetings and other events of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture.

Public councils operate under state authorities and local self-government to assist in the development of legal acts, to monitor the implementation of government decisions, etc. The Public Council is both an adviser and consultant, being an expert and the voice of the public at the same time.

“Agriculture is one of the priority areas for the development of FRC KSC SB RAS. For us, being a member of the council is an opportunity to promote our scientific and applied interests in the field of agriculture, in particular, the selection of valuable and promising crops at the regional level and to influence decision-making,” said Alexey Lipshin, member of the public council, Director of the Krasnoyarsk Research Institute of Agriculture, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences.
