On December 12-13 the II reporting conference of the winners of the regional competition of fundamental research projects implemented by young scientists will be held at the L.V. Kirensky Institute of Physics SB RAS. Within its framework, young researchers will present the results of their scientific projects aimed at solving socio-economic problems of the Krasnoyarsk Region.

The conference is organized by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR), Government of the Krasnoyarsk Region, Krasnoyarsk Regional Science Foundation and L.V. Kirensky Institute of Physics SB RAS.

Among the participants are members of the regional expert council of the Krasnoyarsk Region (REC), representatives of the executive authorities of the Krasnoyarsk Region, young scientists - winners of the regional competition of the Regional Science Foundation, universities and other scientific and educational organizations, as well as outstanding scientists from India, Moscow and Krasnoyarsk, who are successful not only at their home country, but also abroad.

At the Conference, participants will discuss the current state and current problems of science. Presentations will be made by the Scientific supervisor of the Siberian Federal University, Yevgeny Vaganov; professor of the University of Cadiz, Jose Maria Lopez-Cepero; corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, head of the laboratory of biotechnology and virology at the Novosibirsk State University, Sergey Netesov, as well as other Russian and foreign scientists. The latest investigation results will be presented in the areas of determination of heavy metals and synthetic dyes in environmental objects and food products, patient-specific antiplatelet therapy in the cases of coronary heart disease, prediction of brown coal spontaneous combustion during processing, storage and transportation, analysis of atmospheric carbon sinks and sources in major zones of bioclimatic ecosystems of the Yenisei River basin, assessment of the state of forest vegetation in the nature reserve area of the Krasnoyarsk Region using satellite data and many others.
