As part of the Day of Russian Science, there was a meeting of the chief physician of the A.I. Kryzhanovsky Krasnoyarsk Regional Oncological Center Ruslan Aleksandrovich Zukov, Rector of the Krasnoyarsk State Medical University Aleksey Vladimirovich Protopopov and Director of the Federal Research Center "KSC SB RAS" Alexander Arturovich Shpedt. They signed an agreement on cooperation in conducting scientific research in the direction of "Theranostics of cancer diseases". The agreement will allow scientists to perform joint research and scientific and practical activities, as well as to organize international and Russian scientific conferences and other events to exchange experience and knowledge with colleagues.

“Joint work will allow us to conduct research faster as well as to put the results into practice. Three scientific institutions will line up in a system, where each of them will have its own stage in developments. The Medical University sets goals, refines methods and tests developments on clinical samples, the Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center will perform fundamental research, develops new methods and conducts model experiments, and the Oncological Center will provide clinical samples, analyze their effectiveness and introduce them into clinical practice. This will significantly speed up the process and make it possible to more effectively study, diagnose and treat cancer diseases,” said Anna Kichkailo, Doctor of Biology, Head of the Laboratory of Digital Controlled Drugs and Theranostics at the Federal Research Center KSC SB RAS.
