The weather in recent years has greatly surprised residents of the entire Siberia. Meanwhile, scientists are talking about global climate change. Denis Rogozin, a leading researcher at the Institute of Biophysics of the Krasnoyarsk Science Center SB RAS tells a correspondent of the Yenisei TV channel about its causes and consequences. Krasnoyarsk biophysicists are studying the history of climate through the state of lakes. At different water levels, the salt concentration changes, and consequently, the species composition of microorganisms changes as well. - In Siberia, in recent years “the drying out” of the areas has been observed, which also affects fir forests. Fir prefers a humid climate and cannot tolerate sharp fluctuations in temperature and soil freezing, thus, dying here in large quantities, ” the Krasnoyarsk scientist gives an example.
