On February 5 - 8, the Krasnoyarsk Science Center SB RAS holds a series of events dedicated to the Day of Russian Science. Everyone interested is expected to have excursions, lectures and to participate in other events designed for visitors of different ages.

On Wednesday, February 5, Krasnoyarsk scientists invite everyone to the traditional “Scientific Photo Cross”. Visitors will be able to look at the unique equipment, get acquainted with promising projects of researchers and communicate with scientists in an informal setting. Excursions  will be organized to the  laboratories of: ecophysiology of biogeocenoses of the permafrost zone of the V.N. Sukachev Institute of Forest, and catalytic transformations of small molecules of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology SB RAS. This time, Krasnoyarsk residents will be told about the cycle of nutrients in the geosphere at the ecosystem, landscape and regional levels, as well as how to create new functional microspherical and composite materials.

To participate in the photocross, preliminary registration by link is required. Photocrosses “Science for Everyone” in the laboratories of the scientific center are held jointly with the Atomic Energy Information Center.

On February 8, at 12:00, the Krasnoyarsk Science Center will become the venue for the international open-laboratory scientific literacy test campaign. This is a voluntary educational campaign for everyone who wants to know how our world works. The laboratory participants will be led and assisted by Sergey Ovchinnikov, Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor, honored worker of science of the Russian Federation, one of the most actively published scientists of Krasnoyarsk. Among other participants of the “Lab” an invited guest Vladimir Bogomolov, presenter of the program “News. Krasnoyarsk " on the channel "Russia24", will take part in the competition.

We invite everyone to test their scientific literacy. Questions are prepared for visitors of all ages. Children will have their own special format. You can find out more about the campaign and register for the participation using the link.
