Young scientists of the Krasnoyarsk Science Center SB RAS received grants of the President of the Russian Federation

30 December 2019 г. FRC KSC SB RAS

Молодые ученые Красноярского научного центра СО РАН стали обладатели грантов Президента РФ
The results of the  competitions-2020  for grants of the President of the Russian Federation for state support of young Russian scientists  - candidates of sciences are summed up.

1,509 young scientists participated in the competition for 400 grants, there were 3.6 applications for one grant on average. The grants of the President of the Russian Federation for candidates of sciences are allocated for a 2-year period in the amount of 600 thousand roubles annually, including payment for work and for that of co-executors. The number of co-executors should include at least one young scientist, student, or a graduate student.

Grant holders at the Krasnoyarsk Science Center SB RAS are the following:

Direction: "The transition to advanced digital, intelligent manufacturing technologies, robotic systems, new materials and design methods, the creation of systems for processing large amounts of data, machine learning and artificial intelligence"

Sergey Aksenov, project: “Quantum transport in heterostructures containing topological superconductors”

Roman Yaroslavtsev, project "Synthesis and study of the properties of functionalized magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications"

Direction: “The transition to personalized medicine, high-tech healthcare and health-saving technologies, including the rational use of drugs (primarily, antibacterial ones)”

Anna Barilo, project: “Development of new promising approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis based on the analysis of the role of immunopathological mechanisms of allergies in the pathogenesis of psoriatic disease”

Evgenia Bashmakova, project “Development of a method for detecting proteins with melanoma inhibitory activity (MIA) through bioluminescent analysis”

Yuri Knyazev, project “Investigation of the possibility of controlling the charge and spin states of 3d cations in strongly correlated oxyborate single crystals using cationic substitution”

“During the implementation of the project, high-quality single crystals of oxyborates of 3d transition elements will be synthesized, and the peculiarities of their crystal structure, magnetic properties and local atomic structure will be studied. Investigating the laws of formation of the low-spin state will bring us closer to the possibility of controlling the spin state of cations without using extreme pressures. And such a control opens up prospects for using these materials as promising spintronic devices, " - says one of the winners, Yuri Knyazev, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical sciences, research associate at the L.V. Kirensky Institute of Physics KSC SB RAS.

Congratulations to the winners and their colleagues!
We wish them success in their research work!
