Traditionally , on the 1st of June we celebrate the International Day for Protection of Children. In connection with this holiday, the Krasnoyarsk Science Center organized an event for young researchers.

The Krasnoyarsk Science Center, under the support of the united trade union committee, organized a holiday devoted to the Children’s day.  A lot of spectators and participants came to Akademgorodok, including the children fr om kindergartens № 242 «Lesovichok» and №310 «Sneguiri».

The holiday began with the welcome speech of the director of KSC SB RAS, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Nikita Valentinovich Volkov.  Then, the holiday concert went on.  Various master-classes were organized for the little guests, wh ere young scientists demonstrated intriguing physical and chemical experiments. There was also a competition of children’s paintings, and the winners were awarded with certificates and prizes.

One of the remarkable moments during the holiday was a useful event – Toys crossing. The organizers say that parents are often faced with the problem of «useless old toys» and do not know what to do with them. Here, everyone could bring and leave an old toy and choose another one, absolutely free of charge. This event was organized not for the first time but in comparison with the last year it became more popular.

The wind and cold weather did not prevent the children and parents from having fun. The guests were impressed by the event and highly estimated the holiday.
