On April 2, the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Nature Management of the region discussed the creation of a unified air monitoring platform in Krasnoyarsk.

The meeting, chaired by the head of the Ministry of Environment, Pavel Borzykh, was attended by representatives of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the leader of the Krasnoyarsk "Greens" Sergei Shakhmatov, the founder of the environmental project "Krasnoyarsk. The sky " Igor Shpekht.

The participants expressed their readiness to combine state and public environmental monitoring systems and discussed the preparatory stage of work. To begin with, the discussion touched upon the device of the future platform, which will receive data, and information on calibration and certification of equipment.

As a result of the meeting, the parties decided to back their intentions with an agreement; documents are already being prepared by the Ministry of Environment in of the region. All the data on air pollution in Krasnoyarsk are planned to be collected on the website of the Krasnoyarsk Science Center of SB RAS ( air.krasn.ru.). As for the design of the platform, the participants of the meeting will prepare proposals and send them to the SB RAS.
