The traditional conference of young scientists was held in the Federal Research Center KSC SB RAS. This year it was held in a mixed format: the speakers and the jury were in the hall of the Academic Council while other participants took part remotely, listening to reports and asking questions online.

In total, 16 reports were presented at the conference by participants from all the institutes of FRC KSC SB RAS. Among the speakers were not only post-graduate students and candidates of sciences, but also schoolchildren of the RAS-supervised schools.

“This, of course, led to some difficulties for the jury, but we took into account this difference when evaluating the presentation. It was useful for the younger participants to listen to young scientists with more experience. All the studies are highly relevant, being performed at a high level ", - commented on the results of the conference Vasily Filippovich Shabanov, Academician, Scientific Supervisor of the Federal Research Center of KSC SB RAS.

Based on the results of the reports, the jury distinguished four works:

The first place was taken by Anna Barilo, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Senior Researcher at the Research Institute of the Medical Problems of the North with a report "Allergy as a risk factor for the development of psoriasis."

The second place was given to Bikbaev Rashid, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Researcher at the Institute of Physics SB RAS with the report "Tamm plasmon-polaritons for organic solar cells".

The third place was shared by Olga Maksimova, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Junior Researcher of the Institute of Physics SB RAS with a report: "Investigation of the optical and magneto-optical properties of magnetic nanostructures using in situ spectral magneto-optical ellipsometry data" and Sergey Vorobiev, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Researcher of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology SB RAS with a report: "Synthesis, features and application of highly concentrated silver hydrosols".

Schoolchildren of the Lyceum No. 7, one of the RAS-supervised school also took part in the conference, namely, Zakharchenko Anna and Lisitsyna Julia, the winners of the school conference held by RAS. The topic of their report was "Isolation of pectin from the bark of Siberian larch."
