The Russian Science Foundation summed up the results of competitions to support fundamental and exploratory research. Among them, a competition for individual research teams and extension of projects of individual research teams, supported by grants in 2018. Six projects of scientists of the Krasnoyarsk Science Center SB RAS received support in two competitions.

Individual research teams in 2021

In total, within the framework of the competition, the Science Foundation supported 526 projects to be  implemented in 2021–2023 with the subsequent possible extension of the implementation period, including four projects of scientists of KSC SB RAS. The size of one grant will be up to 6 million roubles annually.

Projects:
-    Synthesis of nanolayer MAX materials based on chromium and manganese for the application in spintronic devices (Supervisor - Varnakov S.N.)
-    Local dynamics and processes of transport of highly dispersed phases of heavy oils in the presence of promising solvents, heterogeneous catalysts and sorbents according to the data of the in situ NMR methods (Morozov E.V.)
-    Scientific foundations of new methods for obtaining valuable chemical products based on catalytic fractionation of woody biomass (Kuznetsov B.N.)
-    Response of methane emission fluxes from tundra landscapes to an increase in precipitation: field bipolar studies in the Arctic and Antarctic (Evgrafova S.Yu.).

Extension of projects of individual research teams started in 2018.

In 2020, the implementation of three-year projects of individual research teams, supported by the Russian Science Foundation in 2018, was completed. The terms of the competition supposed the possible extension of the implementation of projects for a period of one-two years. Within the framework of the competition for the extension of projects, the foundation supported two projects of scientists of KSC SB RAS. The size of one grant will be up to 6 million rjubles annually.

-    Effect of exchange interaction between excited states on spin crossovers under equilibrium and non-equilibrium conditions (supervisor - Ovchinnikov S.G.)
-    Life on the Edge: Past, Present and Future of Forests on the Border of the Boreal Zone of Eurasia (Kirdyanov A.V.)
